Yael Stein, who is Australian who has been living in New York City since 2013 She played Lorna Morrello's character in Orange Is the New Black. Yael graduated from NIDA. Yael was fortunate to work with some of Australia's most renowned storytellers. She's worked behind the scenes in film, television and the theatre. Yael is a renowned actor in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was able to find a new place of residence within New York City when the production was acclaimed on the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Yael was co-founder of The Cannery. From a Bushwick, Brooklyn studio, The Cannery is a place to promote new ideas in creative writing, as well as innovative creative projects and assists in the formation of new writers.
